🇰🇷 K-drama Filming Location: Our Beloved Summer

This is yet another post specifically for my chingu out there who looooves K-drama. If you are planning to go to Korea, this is a must visit place to see, feel, and live for yourself the paths that the lead characters of Our Beloved Summer took. The most iconic scenes are no other than the scenes where Choi Ung first met Yeonsu after their break up and also the lively scenes of their teenage dating era.

1. Choi Ung’s House

Location: Suwon-si Paldal-gu Jangan-dong 109-1

This is actually an abandoned cafe. After the shooting has ended, they drew the OBS posters as murals in which symbolise that they have recognised this place as the shooting location of this drama.

2. Kook Yeonsu’s House

Location: Suwon-si Paldal-gu Changnyongmun-ro 75-5

These two places are located in Suwon, a city that is outside but not too far from Seoul. To go here, you may take a bus or a subway to Suwon. It will take only around one hour to reach Suwon.

Outfit Recommendation:

To recreate their high school student or teenage characters, we chose to wear something simple and casual. A white shirt with blue jeans to mimic the high school student uniform, and a striped shirt with long pants to suit the summer, minimalist Korean style vibe.

Review:

These two places are not too far from each other. From Choi Ung’s house, it takes only around 15 minutes to reach Yeon Su’s house by bus. Navigating through the Naver app is really convenient. Both of these houses are located in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood so we really enjoyed the serenity. I think people knew what we came there for so they did not mind us taking thousands of pictures at all. The first house is also near Hwaseong’s fortress, so we could walk (read: hike a little) around there too. And more importantly, there are variation of aesthetics cafés nearby so that could be something to look forward too if you are planning to come here. All in all, we were so elated because we could bring our favourite kdrama moments into life.
