As someone who primarily reads high fantasy, here are some romance books that I really loved and will always recommend 🥰

The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling | 4.5 ⭐️

This witchy rom com stole my heart. It is like Halloweentown but with a little dash of spice! Real rivals to lovers where they despise each other but have to work together to solve the mystery of why the magic in the town is out of wack. I loved every moment of it and if you like audiobooks... HIGHLY recommend the audiobook.

Book Lovers by Emily Henry | 5 ⭐️

I went into this book thinking that I would hate it... I was SO surprised. The type of rom com where a city girl gets stuck in a small town but her work rival from the city happens to be in town aswell! This one turned out to be so much more than a romance because it touched on topics like sisterhood, the publishing industry and work ethics. Charlie Lastra is a top 10 book boyfriend for sure.

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood | 4 ⭐️

This is the first rom com I read so I might totally be biased. In this one we have fake dating between the most hated professor in the university and olive our main character who is a PHD candidate. They just want to prove that he has a personality and that she isn't totally only obsessed with work lol This one is quirky, awkward, but absolutely SO cute 😆 had me kicking my lil feet all the way through. Plus we love smart baddy female characters. (fun fact: this started as a Kylo Ren and Rey fan fiction)

The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang | 4.5 ⭐️

This one was equal parts emotional and quirky. Our main character is newly diagnosed with autism and learning to accept herself while her bf asks for an open relationship that throws her off course. She meets a swoon bad boy who changes everything! While this is a rom com, it deals with a lot of family conflict and pretty heavy topics that had me sobbing at 3 am. 🥺
