What I’ll do differently with baby number 3!

I’m really happy with a lot of the things we did with our 2nd (and first!) baby! He is just over a year old now and he is an amazing, sweet, calm, loving, funny, baby boy!

However, there is always room for improvement and there are still a few things that I want to, and am excited to, do with our 3rd baby!

The first is that I was to give this baby the chance to do the “breast crawl” after birth. If you have never heard of this, basically it is when you put the baby on your stomach or chest and they are actually able to crawl up and latch on for the first time! They use a reflex they have called the stepping reflex, then their rooting reflex, and lastly their sucking reflex! It’s a great way to let baby take initiative and use all their reflexes they are meant to ignite after birth!

The second thing I want to do differently with baby number 3 is to not be so ridged in our routines, that way baby can learn to be more flexible and easy going if things can’t be the same! When I’m thinking of this I mostly mean around sleep.
