HOW I BECAME A RBT ON MY 3RD TRY! 😭😩🙌🏽

Wanting to not be like me and pass one your first attempt and not the third? Lemme give you my background story.

I became a BT in February, this was my second job and new to the field. I have never worked with kids who have autism but I was willing to learn a new skill. I reviewed with my RBT trainer and attempted my first time & thought i knew everything but BIG MISTAKE, i felt like the test had nothing on it from what i studied. My second time did the same thing but I figured I had the confidence to go in and pass, but the second time I failed AGAIN. I cried and cried because i felt like what am i doing wrong ? Yall if i didnt pass my third attempt I would lose my job. It had been pass 90 days and im telling myself im gonna pass my third try, just postive energy. Despite things went on in my life , I studied so hard, made notes, looked at videos, did practice tests, asked for help etc. I was so determined to pass and give it everything i had. I prayed before , during , and after and every question i went with my gut , if i didnt know i flagged it and came back. ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT NO MATTER WHAT!!!! After the test was over, i was so nervous to open the paper but i read it and I PASSED 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽💕. I was so happy i cried tears of joy because i didnt give up on myself because i love what I do and the kids I work with are a joy. I had to realize some people pass it on the first and some pass it on the other times, its all about how you are willing to study for it to be prepared and its okay to fail we just look at the mistakes we made and try harder to not make them again. To anyone who is about to take their RBT exam YOU CAN DO IT ! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
