Places to visit: Virginia

Technically a national park and managed by the National Parks Service, Great Falls Park is one of those parks that needs to be higher on your list of places to visit. Separated by the Potomac River, the park is split into two sides- the Virginia side and the Maryland side. The Virginia side offers (in my opinion) superior views of the falls, while the Maryland side offers (again in my opinion) much better hiking. This post is from the Virginia side and I think we can all agree here on how beautiful it is.
