With the rise of inflation it’s time to bust out some cute but affordable date ideas because you know your money can be better invested elsewhere

Psstt this post is not just for couples okay you can do this with your friends and family main point is to make it cute and fun 🤩

1. Home cafe 🍵

firstly I believe cooking is an vital and a life-skill that everyone should know because I can’t imagine eating out everyday gotta have some of that home-cooked food yk and what better way to show that you’re not only a romantic but talented chef as well 🤗 okay ya ya some of you will say you can’t cook I call b0llsh1t okay it can be a really simple meal (as long as it’s edible I’m sure it’s fine)

if you have matcha powder or coffee powder at home romanticise a home cafe date because have you seen the prices for a cup of iced latte at a cafe ? Cmon I’m sure you have something at home mix milk with pretty much anything - matcha, Hojicha, espresso , flavoured syrup etc get creative ! And bake a tray of brownies or cookies to pair with your drinks and ta-da you save $50 and still have fun! 🍫

2. Picnic date 🧺

Picnic at marina barrage, east coast park , Sentosa beach , botanic gardens

picnics are underrated okay you just gotta pick the right time and right spot so it won’t be too hot, similar concept to making some home-cooked food I think it’s such a cute way to show your looooove but if you don’t wanna cook there’s always other alternatives like gg to ddk , ntuc, tori-q get your favourite food and snacks maybe bbt if you’re feeling it and just yap about life ☁️

3. Netflix/disney marathon 🍿

Exactly what I mean , after you get some food either home-cooked or takeaways have a chill date at home catch up on your favourite shows or explore new movie titles cuddling in bed super inexpensive (especially if you’re not the one paying for the subscription ; ) )😃😃

4. Cycling date or roller-skate 🚲

Rental bikes such as ofos are super inexpensive you can explore singapore and view some scenic routes through cycling or rollerskating (even better if you have your own!) great way to get some exercise in as well (cycle/skate along marina bay , check out gardens by the bay , east coast park, etc)

5. Puzzle / colour by number / sand art date 🎨

Can use old art supplies or Shopee has cheap deals

This idea is great because you can do this activity at home, at a picnic or a cafe even. Get artsy with your partner I for one am not good at arts but it can be pretty fun to bust out your old art supplies do an experimental painting (no one says it has to be perfect!) or if you looking for colour by number paint sets or sand art you can get some on Shopee at a lower price 🤑
