Basically this is like the white palace from hollow knight, the predrop is the Rose Citadel destroyed and demolished as it is in the present, in that drop transition youre entering like the memories of the past and going through what the Citadel used to be. Just like you have to dream nail the dead guy in the Ancient Basin to enter the White Palace in Hollow Knight
