Ideal place for birthday celebration🎂

Visited The Farm Foodcraft the other day to celebrate my friend’s birthday. There were a total of five of us and I’m glad that they gave us a really spacious table. It was comfortable and I liked how they incorporated plants into the design of the restaurant. It does not just have a pleasant dining area, but they have a cool hidden bar, camouflaged in one of the doors. What I find really cool is they even have a room to plant their vege. As seen in the name of the restaurant, the farm, they really aim to transfer the farm experience to the table, which is also why they serve vegetables more compared to proteins.

The price of the restaurant is high, that’s why we decided to go for the family sharing set which includes six appetisers, four main courses and three desserts. Generally, the appetisers were really light and refreshing (since they are lots of vege) . My favourite will be the cauliflower soup as it was creamy, flavourful with notes of tanginess. Next up will be the chicken bites with lemon mayo dip. Chicken was tender and flavourful, dipping in the sauce gives freshness to the chicken. The rest were edible, particularly liked their dips, as it has a variety of sauces.

The mains were really just mediocre, especially the grilled cauliflower which is a huge disappointment to me. I honestly can’t believe they just serve a cauliflower with sauce which the taste was heavily mediterranean influenced. Best was the turmeric rice, which is served along with a wild catch fish. The fish was cooked in Portuguese sauce, which is very nicely flavoured! Love that! Desserts were unique to me, especially the adzuki cassatta. It tastes like a creamy version of an ice cream potong. Worth trying! Drinks were fresh and light, definitely on par with the price.

Overall, this set meal costs us RM350, exclusive of the cake and three drinks. Service was great, food came really quick, some hits and misses for the food, but the whole experience was excellent. I recommend celebrating birthdays here, if not, for other special occasions.
