Its perpetually summer in Singapore, and a lot of times I crave iced coffee. Arguably one of the best ways to make it though, is with a V60! The V60 is amaingly versatile, allowing you to experiment with different recipes; everyone should start out with thr V60.

On today's menu, we have the Japanese style iced filter coffee. You get some coarsely ground beans, set up your V60 with your filter paper rinsed to get rid of the paper taste.

Pour your beans in, and start brewing! There are many recipes around, and I would recommend taking a look online at James Hoffmann or Tetsu Kasuya as they are the absolute best in their craft.

Today, we will be using the 4:6 method by Kasuya. You get some coffee, and the amount of water used will be 3x the amount of coffee used x 5 pours. The first 4 (2 pours) will adjust the sweetness, and the 6 (3 pours) will adjust the strength of the coffee.

In a typical recipe, he would use 20g of coffee and 300g of water, each pour being 60g with 45s between each pour.

Because it is an iced coffee today, we will use half the amount of water, and 80g of ice in the jar.

This will result in 150g of water used, with 30g for each pour, and 30s in between.

Serve the coffee over ice and you would get a sweet, smooth and refreshing cup of iced coffee!

Try it and share with me your experience 😍
