LAZY PERSONS GUIDE TO (not) IRONING CLOTHES 🐷

Ok if you’re a lazy human like me, or you just hate having to take out the ironing board and then putting it back after ironing just one shirt, here’s a #fashionhacks for you!

Disclaimer: this hack works best on organic materials (cotton/linen) as opposed to synthetic materials. Also, don’t be too lazy la this only works for like one or two pcs, to smoothen out gentle wrinkles.

1️⃣ Mist the crap out of your shirt

If you see my shirt, it’s almost fully soaked! Yes, you’ll need to mist the creased areas till it’s fully wet (but not dripping wet ok). The water will help to relax the crease while it’s drying.

2️⃣ Let sit for 8 hrs at least

So I’ll usually do this the night before, and depending on how wrinkled your shirt is, the wetter the shirt will require more time to dry. If you do it during the sunny hours it should take 2-4 hrs.

3️⃣ Put a thick heavy fabric in front of the shirt

This helps to subtly compress the shirt and straighten it out throughout the night.

So this method definitely does work- look at the last pic, however you need to know when to use it.

I typically use these on clothes that are folded or partially squashed in the wardrobe. They don’t require the effort for a full iron, but could do with a little less wrinkles.

Also have tried on viscose and polyester but it doesn’t work as well as cotton fibres.
