hidden café in clementi: glass roasters ☕️🪴

i visited 𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 to kick off my semester on a good note, and i wasn’t disappointed! just a short bus ride away from NUS, Glass Roasters serves up light bites and great coffee in their cozy space shared with 𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐. ❣️

– 𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅

♪ tuna nori mayo toastie ($12.50) – tuna mayo sandwiched between a light focaccia base, really easy to eat while still being quite hearty. we shared this between two of us, but definitely could be finished off easily by one. 🥪

♪ pork & prawn crispy dumplings ($6.50) – super juicy dumplings! the bite on this from the prawn was great and i really liked the texture. the sauce could have been a little spicier, but overall i really enjoyed this. 🥟

♪ mentaiko pommes (not pictured, $9.50) – i would describe this as mini, cloud-like bites reminiscent of pao de quejio. it has a super interesting light, fluffy texture that made it super easy to eat! 🥔

– 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒌

♬ iced flat white with oat ($8) – i’m not a coffee expert but this was pretty good! a little on the acidic side today but still smooth, which i enjoyed. ☕️

♬ iced chocolate ($7.50) – this was pretty standard but lighter than most iced chocolates i’ve had, which made it less cloying and still quite refreshing! 🍫

♬ caraca berries tea (sorry i forgot the price and can’t find it anywhere) – super refreshing tea! tastes great after a good stir. 🍇🍓

– 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍 –

we had a really nice and quiet afternoon sitting here and planning our trip while eating! it’s nestled within a landed housing estate but just a 3-min walk from a bus stop along the AYE, making it pretty convenient to get to. everything was quite reasonably priced too! 🚎
