How do I budget for my home renovation?

When I first starting to make planning for my home renovation, I thought budgeting RM30K for 926sqft home should be enough.

It is enough for a simple makeover…

Until you begin scrolling pinterest and every other social media platform that existed. You begin to have higher standard.

At one point I got so confused and got really jammed where to start. Then I take a deep breath and it’s finally aha-moment for me. Let’s start with electrical appliances!

I have my die-die must want in the house appliances list in my head. It should be easy.

(Disclaimer: The following is my estimated no when I started with my budgeting. If you wanna be accurate then you’ll take longer time. Ni just nak buat raso2 whether RM30K earlier is realistic or not with my appetite)

Aircond 4 units = ~RM1500 * 4 = RM6,000

Fan 5 units = RM300 * 5 = RM1,500

Water Heater 2 Units = RM1,000

Washer 1 Unit = RM2,000

Dryer 1 Unit = RM2,000

Refrigerator (Korean looking ones haha) 1 Unit = RM3,500

TV 1 Unit = RM3,500

Hood 1 Unit = RM2,000

Stove 1 Unit = RM1,000

Oven (Suddenly KIV cause my head already sweating profusely)

Microwave 1 Unit = RM300

Air Fryer 1 Unit = RM300

So how much that these add up to?

Electrical appliances all already ~RM24.1K and I have the audacity to put my budget RM30K for overall renovation.
