Tips for Traveling With a Toddler

Traveling with kids can be SO hard! We’ve flown at least a dozen flights with my daughter before she’s even turned 3 and here are the things that have made a difference in how smoothly our trip goes.

1. Take your car seat - it’s familiar and at least for my kid, she falls asleep in the car easily, so a napping toddler means an easier plane ride for us, and those around us.

2. NEW FUN TREATS! - obviously pack stuff you know your kid will snack on, but adding something fun and new distracts them.

3. Flights during nap time - we know when she will be tired and flying around those times ensures that she will be napping at least for part of the flight.

4. Travel in PJs - I LOVE a good airport fit, but kids get messy, have accidents, and will most definitely get uncomfortable and whiny. Put them in pajamas to help them stay as comfortable as possible.
