we all have times where we start going to the gym & just have zero idea on what to do… that WAS me at the beginning🥴 but slowly, i figured out what goals I wanted to achieve & started to work towards themmm‼️ so i’m just gonna share with you guys what I do in the gym, & also workouts that I do at home for those who don’t have/ want a gym membership‼️
KNOW YOUR GOALS📄
before starting a routinely excercise/ gym workout, know what your goals are.. do you want to lose weight? gain muscles? increase strength? figure out what you want to achieve & work towards them!!
for me, my goals were to maintain my weight (& lose a little at the beginning) as well as increase strength, BUT not grow TOOO much muscles… so from there i started to do my research on what exercises i SHOULD focus on & add to my routine… wHICHH brings me to my next point
HAVE A ROUTINE🔒
by having a list of exercises that you want to do in order to reach your goals, it would allow you to achieve them faster💨 because by having a routine, it gives you consistency as well.. you could separate the routines into alternate days🤭 for me, i have a constant cardio routine, meaning that i would ALWAYS do cardio first whenever I visit the gym.. then I would split between upper body and lower body on alternate days.. eg today i would do cardio + upper body, then the next day i would do cardio + lower body and so on..
by splitting the routines, it allows the different parts of my body to rest as well so as to not overwork or strain it😋
TRACK👣
what I mean by track, is to track your progress‼️ take before & after pictures, or compare the weights you used at the start & end to see how much you’ve improved💯 by knowing where you stand, you will know whether you have reached your goal or not, & with that you can know whether you want to go ahead and start a NEW goal ORR maintain your goal🫶🏼 & last but not least
HYDRATE💦
hydration is the MOSTTT important part. whether you’re gymming or not, being hydrated is very very important as it helps with ALMOST everything eg health, focus, mood etc.. make sure to ALWAYS bring your water bottle with you wherever you go to stay hydrated!! & if you want to spice it up a bit, what I do is add electrolyte powder into my water so that I’d be more hydrated, have more energy, & also have something more flavourful to consume🧃
so here’s the things that i do when i go to the GYM🏋🏻♀️!!
cardio: daisy keech bubble butt & abs + 12-3-30
increase strength: (10 reps 3 sets each)
upper body - chest press, hammer curls, bench dip & single arm dumbbell row
lower body - weighted squats, hip thrusts, leg press, leg extensions & lunges
& here’s the workouts I do AT HOME 🏡
cardio: daisy keech bubble butt & abs + jumping jacks (until tired)
increase strength (10 reps 3 sets each)
upper body - girl push ups, wall push ups, & plank
lower body - squats, lunges, side lunges & squat hold
