Tips tentukan tinggi dan jarak TV di dalam rumah

Don’t we always wonder what size TV that we should get or the best TV viewing distance in a particular room? Let me share with you how to determine these:

1. Distance between TV to the seating area

To know this, simply multiply your TV screen size by 1.2, so for our 75 inch TV, the minimum viewing distance should be 90 inch distance (~ 2.3metres away). You also don’t want to sit more or less than the 36 degrees field of view. This is the viewing angle between a person and the visible area of a TV screen.

2. Height of TV

To find the standard and optimum height for your TV, simply sit on the sofa and close your eyes for few seconds. Then open your eyes - the point on the wall that is in front of you is the optimum height for you to hang your TV (or the centre of your TV screen).

3. Distance based on resolution of TV

As the TV resolution increases – and the TV pixels get smaller – there is a limit to how far away you can see the details of it. For 1080 pixel, the TV should be 3 metres or closer and 4k resolution, it will be 1.5 metre or closer.
