sneaky tips to make the *best* french toast

this gorgeous french toast recipe was taught to me by my mom and it makes for the perfect weekend brunch!! She also taught me these sneaky tips to help bring an average french toast to the next level. Check out the tips and full recipe below (then try for yourself and let me know what you think!!)

tip one: use fresh challah bread instead of white or sourdough bread! the fluffiness of challah bread makes for a crispy on the outside and soft on the inside french toast…. Cut your slices nice and thick for some extra height🤩

tip two: add fresh orange juice to your batter to dip the bread into. I usually use juice from about a quarter of an orange. This addition adds a citrus element to the flavor profile and a bit of extra sweetness too! You neeeed to try
