brutally honest review of bkk's viral rooftop bar🍸

I went to Tichuca Rooftop Bar in Bangkok after seeing it all over my socials - known as the place famous for its avatar-esque lighted tree! Question is, is it worth the hype?? Here's what I liked & disliked about it.

💖 VIBES - loved it

• Once you step out of the elevator, you'll be greeted by the main tree installation

• It rly does look insane against the pitch dark sky

• You can also take a walk around/ upstairs and see Bangkok's night scenery

• Live DJ was good

💔 DRINKS & FOOD - was meh & pricey

• We ordered their signature drinks but they were all...meh... We all felt it was too diluted and no alcohol taste/ effect. (although I'm wondering if this is a cultural difference in taste? not sure pls educate me if you know!)

• Do note that food options are only limited finger food - a few variations of fries, & chicken popcorn. that's it.

• To be fair we went at dinner time but didn't realize they didn't have more food, and there's not much food that we wanted to eat nearby, so we bought a lot of fries and chicken instead to fill us up

Overall, I think it's a great place to go for the first time purely because of the vibes. But the food & drinks we had stops me from coming back another time.

🤫 Ps. some tips if you're planning to go!

• Bring your IC or passport!

• When getting a queue ticket, opt for table seats instead of bar seats (believe bar seats are those on the upper levels, which is away from the Tree, DJ & the whole liveliness)

• For your cute ig/tt/lemon8 pics, don't be shy and just pose WITH FLASH! Everyone else is taking pics so just do it 🤩
