I turned 33 a few days ago, so I thought I would share a few things are started doing in my late 20s/since turning 30:
1. I juice my own wellness shots. I like to know exactly what’s in my food and drinks and it’s way cheaper to do!!!! Ginger & lemon is the main ingredient 🫚 🍋
2. OK maybe not a wellness habit, but I don’t wear costume jewelry anymore. I live by the mentality of “one of everything really good”, so I splurge on exactly what I want and I don’t mindlessly shop for trendy stuff at all. Dressing intentionally is a game changer— I’ve never felt more ME!
3. Dress up to run errands 🏃🏽♀️ I want to be fabulous when I’m older, so I started doing it because daily habits = a lifestyle!! I also feel so much better leaving the house when I don’t look like shit.
4. Splurge on sunglasses — just as important, if not more important than using eye cream in my opinion!! Good quality sunglasses have UV protectant lenses, so you’ll never see me in a cheap pair of sunglasses no matter how cute they are!!
5. I try as hard as I can to eat 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies every day. Not only because it makes me feel better, but I do believe that intentional eating will add up with age!! I also exclusively eat organic, and I always do scratch cooking!
6. I buy myself flowers weekly. ✨ It’s just a little thing i do for myself that brightens my day every time!
7. Get outside. Every day. Even if it’s for 10 minutes, this might seem a little Woo, but we are made from the same substance as the earth, and I believe tbat things like grounding & energy & vibrations in nature are such a healing addition to our lives!! I always feel better after I go outside for a little bit!!
8. regular exercise, that is not fueled by guilt. Are used to go to the gym and work my ass off and I would only count that as healthy if i did all the things. But now it’s bullshit. If I made it to the gym, that’s more movement that I would’ve done if I stayed at home, so any movement is a win and nothing doesn’t count!! 🫶🏼
9. SPF is my religion, and it should be yours too. Aging is a privilege, we can’t stop the clocks, but we can age gracefully!! obviously the most important part is that sunscreen protects you from harmful UV rays. sun damage = life damage. Take care of your skin, it’s the only skin you’ll have!!
