best work/study cafe at somerset 💻

if you’re looking for a chill and relaxed work environment at orchard/somerset area that won’t break the bank, then you should hit up m5 coffee! 😙 it’s a relatively new cafe from a taiwanese coffee chain that’s tucked in b1 of orchard gateway.

the whole of the space is pretty simple and modern, with comfortable seating arrangements that make it easy to settle in for a few hours of work. the cafe is also pretty bright—not like those moody cafes that make it hard to work in.

plus, for a cafe that’s situated in orchard, it’s quite peaceful and quiet, which makes it a great place to work or study in! you can also connect to the free orchardgateway wifi 🤩

in terms of food and drinks, i ordered their signature mount faber, $7 (a special drink for sg!) and was quite surprised at how good it was! it’s made with their premium coffee blend with creamy milk, a blue curacao syrup for tartness, and sea salt flakes to finish. super aesthetic but it also tasted pretty good—the coffee wasn’t too strong or sweet, making it really easy to drink 👌🏼
