Last Friday, I was invited to try out Paris Baguette’s new line of products that celebrates the height of summer: the K-Spicy Ppang Fair.

Inspired by Korean streetfood, these new offerings all carry a kick of heat, ranging from sweet-mildly spicy to straight up savoury-spicy.

Honestly, these were pretty good and I was told they will be a limited time release at all outlets so try these before they are gone forever! Also there are some deals to be had but let’s cover the fare first!

So here was what I ate:

🔴 Oh-Ppang Oh Ppang ($2.70)

This is a delicious combo of cheese bread and Korean fish cake covered in a sweet chilli sauce. The chewy texture of the fish cake was a nice touch too.

🔴 Sau-Ppang Sau-Ppang ($2.70)

These were my favourite out of all and they were so addictive because how can you go wrong with chilli dogs and cheese bread on a stick??

🔴 Chamchi Kimchi Tuna Egg Ppang ($5.30)

Like its name suggests, the bread comes stuffed a kimchi-tuna mix that also happens to deliver a kick of hear for good measure. This one is relatively filling and would be quite the snack for tea.

🔴 Chamchi Kimchi Egg Sandwich trio ($10.50)

If you’re looking for a full meal, then this is your answer. These come in three flavours - spicy egg mayo, spicy tuna and kimchi ham - and you get one of each. I quite like the spicy egg mayo.

🔴 Kimchi Ham Pancake Ppang ($5.20)

Crisp, flaky pastry topped with a delicious combo of tart kimchi and savoury cubes of ham, I did like this a lot and I would imagine is is a nice savoury alternative to a croissant.

🔴 Bulgogi Sau Ppang ($4.90)

This was bulgogi beef and sausage wrapped in a spicy bread. Flavourful but it can pack quite the punch in the spice department. Not the hugest fan personally, like its good but I wish it wasn’t that spicy.

🍹Sparkling Omija Tea ($8.20)

Now that your mouth is burning from all the spice, you gotta try this! Omija means 5 flavours and yes, you can actually taste the combo of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and sharpness as you sip the tea, although sweet and sour stand out the most. Regardless this was very refreshing and I highly recommend grabbing this if you want a fruit tea.

There is also a limited edition exclusive sticker set that you can get at all outlets if you buy items from the K-Spicy Ppang Fair series.

✨ 3/7 - 20/7: You can get the stickers with a purchase of any item from the Ppang Fair series.

✨ 21/7 - 31/8: If you purchase 5 items from this series, you can receive an additional 1 more item AND the sticker set.

✨ 1/8 - 14/8: There is also a National Day special K-Spicy Ppang and Coffee Set that for $5.80 you get an Americano and 1 Oh-Ppang or Sau-Ppang, which are the two items that are most worth trying in my opinion.

📍Paris Baguette (ION Orchard) or Paris Baguette (313@somerset) are the outlets I usually go to because they are some of the more aesthetic and larger outlets that are also not so insanely crowded, so, it’s nice to chill at with friends.

⏰ 10am - 10pm daily
