LIFESAVING TIPS to know before Japan!! 🇯🇵🇯🇵

These are some tips I have collated based on my personal experience traveling through Japan! Hope this helps!

-> Cleanest toilets are Big Uniqlos and Tully's Coffee, Most train stations have toilets.

-> Hojicha Lattes are available in Tully's Coffee🍵 (Bruh idk why it was so difficult to find Hojicha lattes in Tokyo 😭😭 all the cafes kept selling western lattes)

-> Google search ✨Excelsior Cafes✨ if you're craving Cremia ice-cream🍦(Istg it's not as common as you think but the BEST JAPANESE ICE-CREAM!!!)

-> You typically do NOT need plastic bags because you stand and eat beside the food stand and theres usually a bin there. If there isn't, you can just pass your trash to the store owner and they will dispose it for you. If you are in need of a plastic bag to store your trash, find a mall or large building and take the plastics used to keep wet umbrellas to store your trash in the meanwhile.

-> Bring Umbrella, Sunglasses and Cap because it gets really sunny but can rain at the same time.

-> Bring a small luggage because the hotels in Japan are small.

-> Suica/ Pasmo are JR East cards tht you can get primarily in Tokyo but can be used anywhere in Japan. ICOCA is the main card used in Osaka/Kyoto which belongs to JR West cards. ALL can be used across Japans but you have to return the card to the same issuer if you want a refund for the card. Which means for us, we landed in Osaka and departed from Tokyo so we are NOT able to get a refund for our ICOCA cards. Only can do it in Osaka/ Kyoto.
