i realised as i grow older, i'm increasingly loving the day trip to jb idea 🤭 the currency exchange rate is real good & you get to enjoy all sort of activities!! my friends and i recently went for a day trip & realised that we only spend LESS THAN $100 PER PAX on all activities? 😱

🚄 KTX to jb

• 💸 damage done: ~SGD5

•❗️𝓹𝓻𝓸 𝓽𝓲𝓹: always book early!! if not just go in at off peak timings - super early in the morning or after 11am will be ideal

☕ Nimmies Pastry Cafe

• 💸 damage done: ~SGD$10

• this cafe needs no further introduction but it's definitely one of my favourite cafes!

• ❗️𝓹𝓻𝓸 𝓽𝓲𝓹: head down to the cafe early because it gets crowded around brunch time

💅🏻 KSL City Mall

• 💸 damage done: SGD$20

• there are alot of nail salons in KSL mall - we picked one that looked popular & not shady + reasonable pricing 👀

🍲 lunch at Soon Soon Heng Bak Kut Teh

• 💸 damage done: ~SGD$8

• one of the highly rated bkt places in jb! their soup base is more herbal style, compared to sg's peppery style - worth a try 💯

🎤 sing k at I Am A Singer Family Karaoke KSL City Mall

• 💸 damage done: ~SGD15

• there are cheaper ktv places in mount austin, but we planned the itinerary because everything is nearby, so technically we saved on the grab money & spent it on the ktv 😂

• this ktv includes free flow snacks & drinks as well, so that's a plus of this place 🍿🍹

• ❗️𝓹𝓻𝓸 𝓽𝓲𝓹: there's no need to pre-book this place because they have quite a few rooms available 🤭

💆🏻‍♀️ massage at Bangkok Spa

• 💸 damage done: ~SGD$27

• no gatekeeping but this is literally the cheapest & the best massage spa in jb!!!!

• even the 120 minutes session is so worth, it's RM170 or less than SGD50 only - definitely cheaper than those in sg though 🤭

• ❗️𝓹𝓻𝓸 𝓽𝓲𝓹: remember to book them via whatsapp prior because they're very popular!!

🍢 dinner at 海威传统手工云吞面 / Hw Wan Tan Mee & Bangkok loklok

• 💸 damage done: ~SGD$14

• this is the perfect food spot after massage!!!! the wantan mee is very different from the sg style, but super good 🥳

• the loklok is of good quality + the spicy powder is really addictive 🫶🏻

TOTAL DAMAGE = ~SGD$99; 12 hours in & it's really damn worth!!

now there's an increase in frequency of KTX to jb, this is your sign to head there for day trips!! remember to like and save my post for reference 🤍
