WE EARNED $300+ AT LUGGAGE MARKET 🧳💰+ SOLD EVERYTH

i recently FINALLY got a slot for the weekend luggage market sale and also managed to finally clear almost ALL my old second hand clothes!! 🥹☺️ i shared a booth with my friend for $35 each and we earned almost $300 combined together ~ i would say that's pretty good as a lot of my clothes were quite old

my overall experience there was generally alright - it wasn't my first time doing it so i was more prepared! compared to the first! so here are some things to note or some things i just wish i knew beforehand that i hope you may find useful 😌

🔖 WEAR A MASK!!!! i completely forgot about this because i've just been so used to not wearing it but i suggest that you should especially if you have a sensitive nose like me )': it was just super dusty that day + the crowd there is insane so it's better to keep yourself safe

🔖 WITHDRAW LOTS OF CASH & PRINT OUT PAYNOW QR CODE - this is to make payment fuss-free but most of the time they pay by cash so withdrawing lots of notes is more important. make sure you have enough $2, $5 & $10 notes to give them change

🔖 BRING SNACKS/FOOD/WATER - it was soooo hectic on that day itself & if you don't have an extra person to help you out on that day, you might not have the time to go out & get food so definitely bring some food & lots of water to stay hydrated throughout 💦

🔖 GET PLASTIC BAGS - i bought 2 different sets of plastic bags (medium & small sized) but i'm glad that most of them brought their own recycling bags instead. but just in case, you should definitely get some! you can find them at mama shops, supermarkets or SKP stores

🔖 BE PREPARED TO SELL OFF SOME OF YOUR CLOTHES FOR A REALLY LOW PRICE - this is especially for clothing items that are branded like lovet, zara, tinsel rack, pull & bear etc. i had quite a few pieces like those that i had to let go for $1 at the end so if you don't feel comfortable doing so, i suggest you to not sell it at the luggage market but on carousell instead!

🔖 BRING A MINI SIGNBOARD/CLIPBOARD/PAPER - this is for you to put up your prices that will essentially help you attract customers!!! i didn't put it during the first few hours and realised that many of them didn't stop to dig through my pile

🔖 BE READY FOR THEM TO NEGOTIATE *ALOT*

- most of them will try to lower the prices by a lot and it's up to you if you want to give it to them! if you're desperate to clear your items, i suggest to sell your clothes in a bundle deal like 5 for $10 - thats how i sold most of my clothes! i kept pushing them to buy more so that i'll sell it to them for cheaper (& even gave some pieces for free especially if they bought a lot from me)

btw, if you don't manage to sell off all your clothes and dont really want to bring them back with you - you can drop off your remaining clothes at their donation booth located there! 😋
