downtown Chicago Friday date night🏙️

As a college student living in Chicago, one of my absolute favorite parts about the city is exploring the new events and restaurants near me. I've nailed down my staple spots, such as Friend's Sushi, the John Hancock Lounge, Museum of Contemporary Art, Su Casa, etc. This weekend, I planned a cute date night that is accessible to all types of people looking for a fun night out in Chicago!

The first stop was the Rooftop Cinema at the Emily Hotel in Fulton Market. The rooftop was decorated beautifully with a flower backdrop and white Adirondack chairs. They had a snack bar and 21+ beverages, as well as complimentary popcorn.

Next was dinner at Porter Kitchen on the River. If you can grab a spot outside, you'll get a beautiful view of buildings on Chicago's Architecture Tour. Definitely try the sweet potato wedges!

Finishing the night was a walk on the Chicago riverwalk, stopping to watch the Art on the Mart digital art show. Try to grab a spot across the river from the Merchandise Mart for the best view of the building, the boats and the skyscrapers.
