Come shop with me at the grand bazaar flea market on the upper West Side!

I’m a Brooklyn girl, so I had actually never heard of the Grand Bazaar despite the fact that I’ve lived in New York for 12 years. I was researching flea markets in Manhattan and I decided that I would spend the day and check it out.

My friend and I took the A train up to 77th St. and was surprised to find that the Grand Bazaar is actually in the activity area of a public school! It was amazing. The weather was really nice so the fact that it was majority outdoors was no problem.

They had a variety of vendors, everything from vintage clothing to handmade crochet to jewelry, loose beads, art, and even food. I personally was really obsessed with the 80s and 90s clothing vendors that were selling vintage for only FIVE dollars an item. You just don’t see that anymore.

The best part of the experience was the inside; when we were wandering around in the school cafeteria, we found a table where two amazing women were giving customers real tattoos on the spot! They had a book of their flash designs that they were offering for $60-$100 so my friend and I decided to impulsively get them. I did not expect this at all and was genuinely surprised by just like how professional safe and clean it all was.

All in all it was just a super fun way to spend the afternoon. And super convenient since almost all of the vendors except Venmo. That was really helpful for us because I was not carrying tattoo cash with me in my bag lol.
