Broken Barrier ( How to fix and How to know)

So you overused some of your actives or you reacted badly to a product and now your skin texture and overall skin health is messed up, here’s how to know if your skin barrier is broken and how to fix it.

To identify that it’s broken, first look for flaky, red, irritated skin. You can even start to get more blemishes than the usual amount you get, but usually blemishes that come from a broken skin barrier are very tiny, but spread out.

Personally my broken skin barrier came from a chemical burn I got from over using benzoyl peroxide.

If you can identify that you have a broken skin barrier, what I would personally do is as soon as possible clean the area with cold water. This will also help soothe the pain. Then apply a hyaluronic acid to get moisture back into the face, go in with a good moisturizer, then use the cica balm B5.
