SALT FLATS, Utah

This is one of those places you'll want to have on your travel bucket list:

📍Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah.

It's about an hour and 30 minutes from Downtown Salt Lake City. Make sure to have enough gas/battery before hitting the road, as you won't find any stations for quite some time while driving.

I visited in August; it wasn't hot and there was no water reflection, but I actually loved it this way.

When you get there, you won't see any gates or entrance. People park at this road stop and walk to the salt flats, or you can follow the cars and get onto the salt flats with your car.

The view is stunning, and walking over pure salt is definitely an experience. Please make sure to bring an EXTRA pair of shoes because they will get dirty with all the salt, and the car can get dirty very easily. From experience, you don't want the salt in your car floor mats.
