using yuka to rate products!

Before purchasing a popular beauty/skincare product, it's incredibly important to fully research its ingredients. Most products contain harmful chemicals that can disrupt your natural endocrine formation and lead to increased UV radiation.

I use an app called YUKA which scans the QR code of products and gives an overal rating of the ingredients in the item, as well as an in-depth analysis of the harmful aspects. The lower the rating, the worse the products. YUKA is free, but I pay $1.99 a month for the premium version which allows me to search up products without a barcode.

It was suprising to find how many popular products that I use daily contain harmful substances, especially in brands that have claimed to be fully organic or only have natural ingredients. After experiencing some chemical breakouts, I am much more careful about what I put on my skin, and you should be too!
