my hurricane idalia experience!

Hurricane Idalia is here and it’s officially my FIRST every experience with a hurricane. Now to be fair, we are (thankfully) not receiving the eye of the hurricane but we still had to do a lot of preparation for the floods.

Since our house is on stilts, it’s honestly nice to know our actual clothes and belongings won’t flood, but there is still all the things in the basement. I brought up all the bikes and scooters and even brought in plants and furniture from the patio’s - because we weren’t sure how strong the winds were going to be.

I honestly didn’t mind moving everything in and i’m happy i did because our garage was flooded with water coming up to between my ankles & knees!

Our house definitely looks like a hoarders house at the moment but hopefully by this afternoon almost everything will be moved back down to their rightful places😂

i hope everyone is staying safe and i’m sending a lot of strength to all the people being hit by the eye of the storm!
