How do we find the courage to leave an abusive partner?

What might be some of the things we are scared of why we don’t leave?

Is there anything holding us back why we didn’t leave in the first place?

Are we scared to ask for help?

Is there support group that we can join?

Do we rather be with someone that is abusing us than to be alone knowing we are free from and abusive partner?

Do they seem to be happy and all innocent in public but behind closed doors he/she is a narcissist?
