I should never be left unattended in a bookstore, because this is what happens. I run WILD. Sometimes, I can restrain myself, but this week I could not. There were simply too many good books floating around and they all needed to come home with me. Do I already have dozens of unread books on my shelf? Yeah, I do. So, what’s a few more? Here’s what I got:
Wildfire by Hannah Grace — This is from the author of Icebreaker (a spicy hockey romance that I LOVED). It takes place in that world, but it’s a standalone about two people who reconnect after a hot one night stand.
Barbarian Alien by Ruby Dixon — This is the second book in the Ice Planet Barbarians series, and while this genre is not my usual jam, these books are a *good* time. And they are very, very spicy.
The Scarlet Veil by Shelby Mahurin — I don’t know much about this book except that it’s a YA vampire romantasy. I just really want vampire books to have a renaissance.
The Forest Grimm by Kathryn Purdie — I honestly I bought this one for the cover, because yeah, sometimes I *do* judge a book by its cover. Sue me.
A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid — I was influenced by BookTok to buy this one after seeing a handful of rave reviews. It’s a Gothic fantasy and that’s all I know.
The Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan — Once again, influenced. I’ve heard it’s all that and more. Plus, I adore a long romance book.
