You can have most local food dishes for just $1 to $2, with many options such as Nasi Goreng, Gado-Gado, Satay Skewers, and even Bubur Ayam. I would always get a fruit smoothie as a drink with my meals for only $1. Western food is a little more expensive, starting from around $5.

Staying in Gili Air is super affordable, with accommodation starting at just $10 to $15 per night. I stayed in Mirna Homestay cozy bungalows for only $10 per night with a delicious breakfast every morning, included in the price.

Activities☀️

There are plenty of budget-friendly things to do in Gili Air. Start your morning the right way with a yoga class. Relax and swim at the beach. Rent a bicycle to explore the island. Go on a snorkeling or diving adventure. Take a cooking class with locals and learn about Indonesian cuisine. Watch the sunset at one of many iconic sunset swings scattered around the island. Finish your day off with a movie night by the ocean with free popcorn.
