My first tip is that communication is really the key to success with finances. It’s super important to have conversations about your budget and how much money you want to spend in different areas of your life. Be honest about your expectations and don’t be afraid to be open about your current financial situation.

If it makes sense in your relationship, consider alternating who pays for certain things. Taking turns to cover the bills will help to balance things out. If your partner gets dinner one weekend, offer to pay for dinner the next time you go out!
