VISIT FLORIDA’S HIDDEN GEM - TARPON SPRINGS

Tarpon Springs is a quaint little town about an hour from Tampa/St. Pete! It is one of the biggest Greek communities in the country.

Don’t miss:

🇬🇷 Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks! This is a little strip on the water holding many shops, sponge boats, restaurants and more! There is parking throughout and lots at each end. We stayed for several hours wondering around.

🇬🇷 Souvenir stores! There are many, and the creations sold are amazing! They are pretty affordable as well and you can stock up on lots of seashells!

🇬🇷 Yianni's Seafood & Greek Cuisine! This is where we ate and it was delicious. We got two gyro plates, and they were so good. They had the best Tzatziki sauce I’ve ever had.

🇬🇷Hellas Restaurant & Bakery! This restaurant & bakery was very popular, and I understand why! The bakery has so many options. We chose the chocolate baklava, strawberry cake and a cannoli. They were delicious.

There was also a downtown section of Tarpon Springs, but we didn’t get the chance to roam there. All in all, this was the cutest town ever and it’s a good day away from the busy cities!
