🇲🇾what i did on my 2D1N JB trip

hi zesties 🍋!

i went to JB for 2D1N and here’s what i did there!

- FOOD -

day 1:

BREAKFAST - Kopilicious Inc 🍳🥪

It was pretty good as usual and damn cheap!? (40+ RM for the whole meal)

LUNCH - Oriental Kopi (AEON Tebrau outlet)🍜

despite going there at off peak hours (i was damn full from breakfast), there was still a queue sigh. i queued for ~20mins before i got in. food serving speed was fast and food was alright. i must say that the highlight was the EGG TARTS😍😍. the custard was damn soft and it was the thickest i’ve ever seen

DINNER - Lok Lok and Happiness Wheel Cake (Austin Heights area)🧁🥐🍡

in btwn lunch and dinner, we shopped, checked in hotel and went for massage. by the time we are done, it was 9pm. i noticed that this area was rather lively even though it was late. we tried the tiktok viral cheese pull cake @ Happiness Wheel Cake (hearsay comparable to taiwan’s) 😂😂 since we are in JB, we must get the cheapp lok loks right. we found a lok lok shop nearby and just went in! total we pay 7SGD for around 25 sticks(?)

day 2:

BREAKFAST - The Founders’ Cafe 🍽️

near the area, we went there to have breakfast as the other breakfast spots i wanted to try was closed due to the late night celebration the night before. industrial interior designs, chill vibes and good food. portions were huge and i was bursting from eating. must try the quesadilla and burnt cheesecake! others are just so so

they also gave a free bagel coupon that u can redeem at their JB city square kiosk!

LUNCH - Meng Meng Roasted Duck 🍗

another popular shop selling herbal duck . i was a lil disappointed as the herbs taste was not as strong and flavourful as Restoran Ya Wang . so nope, i wont come back again man

DINNER - Teck Sing Restoran 🍖

highly raved on tiktok and after i went there, i realised it was the shop i frequently visited many years back before covid hit. there were alot alot more ppl now (just look at the queue, there was no queues all day last time). again, i was full from lunch and ordered only 2 dishes. BUT BUT the herbal chicken 🍗 still taste as it was last time, only the chicken size is smaller HAHAHAH

- SHOPPING -

main 2 places we went were ÆON Mall Tebrau City and The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey!

there were many shops there and one of the shops i like most is Padini Concept Store 🛍️. its a local brand and all of their items were affordable and value for money 🤑

other than shopping, we also watched The Marvels at GSC Cinema 🍿. the cinema seats were so comfy, i thought i will fall asleep while watching the movie 😂😂😂

- ACCOMMODATION -

Hako Hotel Taman Mount Austin

Rating: 4.5 ⭐️/ 5

Price: $61/night (deluxe room) with tourist tax included (but i saw it was $50ish for some days too 🫣)

hotel room was simple and had everything we need for the night. the basin is separated from the wet area, which is smth i like about it as i will still be able to prepare even when someone is inside the toilet!

this short trip was alot of eating 😮‍💨😮‍💨 i feel like im bursting at the end of the day.
