I know setting monthly goals might sound intimidating or overwhelming, or like they sound good in theory but they never actually stick. Here’s how to set goals that work.

1. 💕Be realistic - if your goal is to be more active, but you’re scared about going to the gym, don’t set a goal to go to the gym 5 times per week, that’s just setting yourself up for failure. Instead, try setting a goal to go for 3 walks per week, or whatever else feels realistic to you.

2. ✨Be specific - if your goal is to read more, don’t simply make your goal to “read more” set a number of books goal for yourself to read by the end of the month.

3. ⭐️Know HOW you’ll do it - set steps to achieve the goal. In the reading example, maybe it’s that you’re going to read 20 pages per day before bed, that’ll get you 2, 300 page books in a month! Or if it’s to save $500, where is that $500 coming from? Though budgeting your groceries better, cutting back on clothes shopping, or going out with friends less? Write down steps and a plan to achieve this goal!

📝I write down my monthly goals at the end of the previous month, to make sure I’m taking time ro reflect on the previous month and adjust my monthly goals if they’re feeling unreasonable. Hope these tips help!
