My Very First Booth as a Small Biz Owner 🤍☃️

Just wanted to leave this in Lemon8 because I’m super happy that I got the opportunity to experience how it’s like to run your own booth and small business 🫶 here is how it went ❄️

I was extremely nervous and awkward because I’m pretty reserved and am generally awkward with new people and interactions 😓 I was taken aback by how quiet the place was (I thought it would be buzzing with people) but thankfully, I was able to make decent sales even though I wasn’t expecting any 😭 The downside was I got my entire back burnt because my booth was not under the shade, but overall I really love the idea of running my own small business, even though the journey has been tough, with wanting more people to support and appreciate my work 🥲

One of the lessons I’ve learnt is to ALWAYS have another person to accompany you if you’re setting up your own booths! The amount of times I wanted to go to the toilet was insane 😭 my partner had an event to attend, which was why he wasn’t able to accompany me through out the booth. Luckily, I made a few friends that do similar arts and we took care of each other (though our booths are far away from each other 🤣) Also, please remember to ALWAYS bring a portable fan, as well as sunscreen for your face and body if you’re doing outdoor events!

Lastly, I would like to thank my friends and people who came to support me, and my partner for helping and supporting me throughout my journey as a small business owner ❤️
