I was Lied to

I thought it was a mistake. A curse. A dread. A lifetime of being tied down and never having time for myself.

I was so wrong.

And I realized … I was lied to.

By society.

Society told me kids would end my life, leaving me tired, exhausted, and depressed for the rest of my life.

But having a baby at 19 did the opposite.

Having a baby gave me life, gave me joy, gave me hope… healed me in ways I never expected.

There were hardships. Sleepless nights. Baby blues. Hormonal and body changes… there’s a lot of hard parts but what no one tells you is that the hard part is what brings so much love and joy and healing.

God knew what I needed.

God knew who I needed.

He sent me the perfect little boy who would be an angel to me during a time of trials and hardships, while I navigated ending and beginning friendships, moving away from my hometown to a completely different stayed over 1000 Miles away, and teaching me to be confident in myself, and my abilities for the first time in my life.
