How to travel with a baby?

My first travel with my boy was when he was ten months old. You cannot imagine my anxiety and fear of bringing him away for a 10+ days trip! But we did it anyway! And here are some tips.

🌈I feel 10 months is a good age to bring him overseas. He is still mostly on milk and soft solid. So I don’t have to cook for him and he mainly eats instant porridge and instant cereal for his meals. Which is convenient because I just have to pour hot water in and the food is ready!

🌈Carrier him everywhere and anywhere! He isn’t too heavy at this point so it is still doable to carrier him and walk long distance.

🌈For places where stroller is convenient, let him nap on the go! Best if the stroller is light weight and sturdy. We also rented the stroller from the shopping mall for a little break and easier shopping. I feel all SG malls should have free stroller rental as well.

🌈Don’t be afraid to ask strangers for help in taking family photo. We had some amazing shots from a group of youngsters who also helped to throw the fallen leaves to create a beautiful effect.

🌈Go with the flow and enjoy the trip. It can be stressful traveling with a young kid. Especially with the lack of sleep as the LO usually still wakes up a few times middle of the night. The constant battle of time to feed them, change their diaper, rush back for naps/sleep. But I’m sure all mummies out there will overcome it somehow. 💪🏻
