Why I QUIT My Masters Program

Reasons why I couldn’t take it anymore 💁🏼‍♀️

🫥 I was extremely depressed - my mental and physical health was suffering (IBS had an insane hold of my life, I couldn’t function normally with my daily symptoms)

🥹 My partner was the only healthy support I had

💰💻 I wanted to gain some new experience in my time away - working full time gave me a new sense of freedom (it sounds weird, I KNOW!)

🌳 My normal schedule gave me time for my passions again, and I began to heal - physically AND mentally (and after 6+ years with IBS, I am FREE of it)

💍 We were fully ready to commit to each other for our lifetime together (BIGGEST but BEST decision ever)

❔👍🏻 After lots of debate, I understood that in order to finish my degree strong and healthy, I needed a LONG and experience-filled break where I did the things I’ve been longing to do, and with the person I wanted to do them with

🎓 With the experience I’ve gained, the support I have, and tools I’ve learned in therapy, I’m ready to go back this time next year, although I’m still nervous as ever!

This decision DEFINITELY isn’t for everyone, but I’m so glad that it has worked out for me. I wouldn’t have it any other way
