There are so many different ways to make avocado toast some of my favorite ways are with a fried egg as a topping for added protein. Or with a shredded egg on top and added red chili pepper flakes for some spice. I also love just adding micro greens for added river and vitamins.

✨Ingredients:

- 1 ripe avocado

- 2 slices of your favorite bread (I love either Dave’s Killer Bread or Sourdough)

- 1-2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil (for healthy added fat to keep you more full)

- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

- Optional toppings (e.g., cherry tomatoes, shredded egg, red pepper flakes, feta cheese, fried eggs, or microgreens)

✨Instructions:

1️⃣Prepare Your Bread:

Toast the slices of bread until they reach your desired level of crispiness. I like medium crispiness it’s the best for spreading the avocado.

2️⃣ Cut and Pit the Avocado:

Cut the ripe avocado in half lengthwise and remove the pit.

3️⃣ Mash the Avocado:

- Scoop out the green flesh of the avocado using a spoon and place it in a bowl.

- Mash the avocado using a fork until it reaches your preferred level of creaminess. I prefer not to over mash the avocado.

4️⃣ Add Flavor (Optional):

I enjoy adding crushed red pepper flakes for some added spice.

5️⃣ Season Your Avocado Mash:

- Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil over the mashed avocado.

- Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

6️⃣ Spread the Avocado:

Spread the seasoned avocado mash evenly over the toasted bread slices.

7️⃣ Add Toppings (Optional):

I love to get creative with the toppings! Sometimes I will add cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese for creaminess, fried eggs or shredded eggs for extra protein, or a handful of microgreens for fiber and vitamins.

8️⃣ Serve and Enjoy:

Enjoy it immediately while the toast is still warm and crispy!
