✨Why i took half a year break after uni

Hey yall, I graduated in dec last year and will only be starting work in June (at least for now). Although it might seem unconventional to take such a long break, I’ve chosen to do so for several reasons, giving up a significant 6 months' worth of salary.

1. Relaxation and Recharge:

Throughout my time in university, breaks were filled with modules and internships. This 6-month break post-graduation provides a valuable opportunity to relax and recharge, something I didn’t prioritize during my academic journey.

2. Travel Opportunities:

I’ve planned several trips during this period, exploring destinations on my wishlist. While these journeys aren’t far away from SG, the idea of travelling is quite nice. It’s a chance to explore before the constraints of work schedules set in.

3. Personal Projects:

This break offers the perfect window to delve into personal projects and explore new technologies. Once immersed in full-time work, finding time for such ventures becomes a challenge. I intend to use this period to bring my project ideas to life and expand my skill set. I’m currently learning Flutter and working on firmware for a split keyboard based on an esp32.
