Boss won’t let me go to the doctor

I'm working a salaried job and am expected to be at work 8-5 M-F. I've been here for a little over a year. I also don't have any sick leave or PTO or vacation at this job.

I have a lot of health issues that cause me to regularly visit my doctor and my dentist. Both my doctor and my dentist only work from 8 to 5, so any appointment I have with them will cut into my work time.

The problem is that my boss doesn't want me to take time off work during work hours to go for a doctor appointment or dentist appointment.

I asked him if I could go for a couple of hours and make up the work later at home or by working through my lunch break, but he became very upset.

What should I do? I'm trying to find another job as well, but I'm unable to interview anywhere because my boss won't let me leave work at anytime for any reason.
