You mustn’t like your boyfriend more than he likes you.

I don’t make the rules, my dad told me this when I was young and always emphasised on this.

He said women shouldn’t love the man more than he loves her. Basically you have to choose someone that is crazy over you and you can’t be the one chasing them.

You ever heard of the, black cat gf & golden retriever bf? Yes. He has to be the little doggy that follows you everywhere and you have to be the nonchalant little kitty that doesn’t really pay him attention. He has to be your loyal golden retriever that adores you and treats you as if you’re the most amazing thing.

You must never chase the guy. I cannot stress this enough. I’ve seen my friends who are so crazy over the boyfriends, only to end up getting hurt because the guy knows he can take advantage of her and treat them like a doormat.

It may seem very shocking and sad to tell you this but it’s true. Smart people learn from their own mistakes. Wise people learn from the mistakes of others. So be a wise person, don’t let it happen to you.

I wasn’t always the black cat in the relationship, I was the loyal golden retriever who chased the guy. How did it end up? He treated me like a doormat, but I still let him because I was crazy about him.

So he knew he could do whatever he wanted because I didn’t speak up or set up the non negotiable stuff.

I think a good example of a black cat is Song Ji-A from Singles Inferno, or at least the way she was portrayed.

I don’t know, you can take my advice if you want but coming from someone who’s seen it first hand, personally experienced it, learn from my mistakes & take my advice.
