📍 Ocho Rios

My boyfriend and I spent a week in Jamaica, his home country. We first flew from Miami, FL to Kingston, JA. From Kingston we drove to his hometown, Saint Catherine, where we got to visit his family and spend some time with them. While there we all went to Salt River (not pictured above) and enjoyed the water and ate some food.

About the resort: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The next day we drove across the country, through the mountains, to Ocho Rios. We arrived at the Moon Palace All Inclusive Resort. We had an ocean view room with a king sized bed and a mini bar in the room. With this resort being all inclusive that meant almost everything was free. There was a buffet, snack stands, and a few different restaurants that were all included. Maybe one or two restaurants were an extra charge. The drinks were also all included. Whether you wanted water, juice, beer, a cocktail, or even a frozen cocktail, it was all included. The bartenders were giving out shots like crazy. There was also about four different pools, jacuzzis, multiple bars, and even a swim up bar. There was a full spa which was an extra charge, a nightclub with free entry, and different activities like live music, live shows, and water sports. There’s a fitness center, an arcade, and for the parents there was a daycare on site. So this resort is family friendly.

Excursions:

Let’s get into the excursions/activities we did. First, at the resort we did the FlowRider surfing and water bicycling. These were included and both very fun experiences. I would definitely recommend. We also got on a catamaran boat ride. If you love relaxing boat rides with great views and an open bar then you would definitely enjoy the catamaran.it was for sure one on my favorites. This boat ride featured an open bar and music. It takes you far out in the ocean where you get to stop and get in the water if you’d like. Life vests were available. We were able to book this directly through the resort as it was part of their water activities. Now outside of the resort we took a visit to Mystic Mountain. This was a really fun adventure. There was different food to try and you got to see some amazing views in the mountains. There were also different rides. We did the bobsleigh as pictured in the last slide. Another excursion we did was the dune buggy riding. If you’re not afraid of getting dirty I would recommend this! With a whole group you get to follow the tour guide on the dune buggies through the mountains and through lots of dirt and mud which splashes everywhere. Be prepared to get covered in mud. We made sure to have the proper phone cases to protect our phones, glasses to protect our eyes, and bandanas to cover our nose and mouth from the mud. After the dune buggy we went to Dunn’s River Falls. Dunns River is a must visit. You get to climb up the rocks as water is constantly flowing and falling down. It can be a little slippery so I would definitely recommend wearing water shoes so that you have some grip. It’s also the perfect opportunity to take nice pictures under the water falls. There’s also different foods to try, shops, and activities.

Overall:

This was an unforgettable experience. I enjoyed everything about this trip. From the views, the food, the customer service at the resort, everything was just perfect. I would visit again a million times over. If you needed a sign to book that trip, this is your sign!!!
