Understand in times on big occasions, definitely will have one or two issues in the way. But this time, it’s scarred on the bride and groom’s mind forever.

Red flag 🚩 Vendor ahead.

23 March 2024, Saturday

My fiancé’s sister had engaged Props and Petals for her wedding photos, banners and 2 angbaos boxes to be put up for her wedding lunch at Hilton Hotel, Orchard. As requested by the bride the items and decos would be needed to set up by 10am.

Invoice/contract was sent and provided with the same informations given.

However, on the day itself. It came with a horrible nightmare that we can never imagine…

Me, personally helping out with the bride’s family members to oversee a few Vendors to make sure they come early, OR on time and get the decorations set up and ready for guests to view. All were ready for the wedding ceremony except for one Vendor that did not appear even after a few chaser phone calls.

Let’s spoke about what happened.

1. (Props and Petals) - agreed to be arrive at Hilton Hotel 10am to set up the tables and banners.

2. Most of the staffs from Hilton and family members were outside the wedding reception before 10am to help out.

3. After 10.15am, no sight of Props and Petals. Given a 15mins grace period as the wedding lunch held at Orchard, might have traffic jams along expressway or the traffic lights. (Given the benefit of doubt)

4. 10.30am, still no sight of Props and Petals. The Bride and Bride’s family members started calling giving chasers as there were no calls given to any one of us. No updates from the Vendor itself.

5. Props and Petals finally answered the call and explained that the vehicle broke down when they were on their way to the Hotel. (LOL, BRO GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. Your customer service sucks. 10am suppose to reach and set up ready. 10.30am, still on the road and expect us to accept our lateness when we called so many times?)

6. Not apologetic at the moment. Wedding has to be done, right? 11am, Bride and Groom arrived for their Solemnisation done. Props and Petals still not here yet. Worst, most of the Bride and Groom’s friends and relatives had already arrived and they see nothing but us and walls. 🤷🏼‍♀️

7. 1130am - HOLD AND BEHOLD. Props and Petals FINALLY STEPPED OUT OF THE LIFT AND MADE THEIR WAY TO THE LOCATION FOR SETTING UP. Btw, came with no angbao boxes. Guest had already started judging. (How bad is this?)

8. Props and Petals walked in with no sense of urgency. Black faces were given to every single one of us at that moment. (Hey Hey, mind you? Late, means late. You ruined someone’s most important day ever.)

9. 11.45am - FINALLY, FINISHED SETTING UP. (Props and Petals request to change the decorations location before doing it quickly.)

10. Props and Petals left with no apologies. (Well done. Customer service sucks. Service recovery even worse.)

11. Bride’s dream wedding had been ruined due to extremely lateness issues on Props and Petals.

12. Props and Petals offered a $250 store credits as an ‘service recovery’ and an apology gift. (Whatever you called that)

Props and Petals ought to be reevaluate yourself. Came late with no first hand updates and expects the Bride to call and chase? Excuse me, the invoice was paid for your expertise and expects you to do your job.

Yes, you delivered the goods after the lateness. 30mins before the wedding lunch door open, 140 guests need to lined up and flip thru the photo albums? Gotta be kidding me?

Came with black face. No sense of urgency. No sense of responsibility. No sense of remorseful. Given store credits, what makes you thinks that the bride would be engaging you, AGAIN? To ruin another important event again?
