what i wore in korea — HEATWAVE edition

i spent 40 days in seoul during summer 2023 & i documented some of my outfits! since i was there for over a month, i couldn’t bring over too many clothes due to limited luggage space, so i mostly packed basics/easy to pair outfits

i love fashion, but korea’s summer is no joke, it was around 32-36 degrees everyday, with some heatwaves here & there (felt like 40+ degrees fr + HUMID). here are some of my summer-appropriate outfits!

🤍 black & white outfits

arguably the easiest colour theme for an outfit, easy to match as well

🤍 dresses

flowy dresses are a must for summer!! doesn’t make my skin feel sticky after a whole day out

🤍 short skirts

i love skirts because it’s so easy to wear & pair — short skirts are even better in the summer!

🤍 blazers/outerwears

i looooove blazer outfits but the summer was too hot for me, so i only managed to wear my blazer once when it was raining heavily the entire day :’) but i paired it with shorts so it’s not too hot even in the rain! i also like to change up my outfits with different outerwears

🤍 comfort/dress down

when i just want to be comfortable but still look presentable! usually with denim shorts or sneakers

for shoes, i didn’t want to bring too many over due to limited space. i settled with my trusty nike panda air jordans & knee high boots to alternate between my outfits! i brought a pair of sandals as well for convenience when i go on quick grocery/shopping runs. a lot of my friends in korea actually asked how did i manage to wear high boots in the middle of summer, especially when temperatures are high, but i love love love this pair of boots & i can’t live without them, so this was something i couldn’t give up despite the scorching weather 🥹 fashion is a #lifestyle — i absolutely think high boots make outfits look better
