I have a regular cycle and I track my period. It is pretty consistent from month to month... Except this month.
I was supposed to get it on a Monday and it just never came. Tuesday passed, then Wednesday, then Thursday. I normally don't stress right away but I also didn't have any PMS symptoms that I typically have.
So I tested right away. I went to target and bought two different packs. I took two tests and both were negative.
I felt relieved but couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting my period?? I didn't think I was stressed. I hadn't been sick (I have missed a period due to being pretty sick before). I really didn't know why.
It finally came the following Sunday. But I really had to think why it was almost a whole entire week late when it's normally one day late maximum due to regular fluctuations.
My conclusion is that I am stressed. I just paid 5 figures to the government for my taxes, I have not been sleeping as much as I should, and there are several personal issues I have been worrying about lately. Sometimes you try to just brush everything off and think you're fine when you're really not.
This is your sign to take a break. If you don't prioritize time to rest and recover, your body will give you signs that you need to. This was my sign and a cautionary post to you. Are you overdoing it? It is so easy to overdo it these days. SLOW DOWN every once in awhile.
