My toddler’s NEW screen-free bag🦕

I recently shared how we are drastically cutting back on screen time with our toddlers.

We still do screen time, but only 10-20 minutes before bedtime or after dinner.

But I no longer want to use screen time as a form of distraction, specially, when we’re outside of the house because it’s causing tantrums & we noticed an incline in our son’s attention & focus.

Buuuuuuut… because we’ve been giving them our phones so often when we’re out (to avoid tantrums), my son wasn’t even interested in the screen-free bag anymore😒

I need to find a way to shift his focus and get him excited.

I got him his own little backpack with the cutest little dino print, which he REALLY loved! And I really loved that it holds his cup and snacks too.

Going screen-free while we’re out of the house has been SO MUCH easier since I gave him his little book bag. & I’m pretty sure it’s because he gets to hold it, but of course the dinosaurs on it helps too 🦕 (his favorite right now).

I also like that by him having his own little bag, he’s going to start learning about responsibility & encourage more independency.

Later on, I plan to get my baby girl her own little book bag too so she can also carry her own stuff.💕
