Where to Stay❔: Da Nang or Hoi An 🧐

Hello 🍋! I’m back with another post on my Vietnam trip after a really long time! 😮‍💨 In this post, I’ll be sharing my stay in Hoi An and why I ended up not choosing Da Nang as my accommodation! 😝

If you're pondering whether to book accommodation in Da Nang or Hoi An, this post is just for you! 🫵

🏷️ Cost: $21/night/pax (max 4 pax)

📍 Location: Hoi An

Da Nang: Mainly known for its beach activities! Feels more city vibes! Closer to Bana Hills, Marble Mountain, etc! However, I find Da Nang to be more boring for me 😕 It was quite underwhelming and I personally wouldn’t stay there for too long!

Hoi An: More towards the ‘countryside’ feels~ More peaceful with many paddy rice fields around! Really love the Old Town vibes! 🤩 There are also some cafes, eateries, and vintage buildings around the area! ✨

——— Personal experience 💭

🚗 Since both Da Nang and Hoi An are 45 mins away and it’s not difficult to get a Grab around the area, I think it depends on what kind of vibes you’re looking for!

I feel the most popular night market in Da Nang is just Son Tra night market! The rest of the markets are quite small and underwhelming 🙁 While Hoi An Old Town has more shopping and food areas! 😛

Our AirBnB also provide a range of services such as laundry, transportation, bike, bicycle rentals, etc! 😗

❕You need a bike license to rent one!

🍜 Provides breakfast! The hosts’ mom cooks for us in the morning! We just have to let them know what we want on the menu! We ordered the pancake and banh mi and it was honestly quite LIT 🔥

⛅️ It has a balcony on the second level and a pool on the first level! I really love how there’s a mini platform right beside the pool to chill! The first floor bedroom is right beside the pool which is very accessible for me and my friends to hop in LOL..

🦟 Do prepare some mosquito repellent as you might get mosquito bites f you’re staying near the rice paddy field area!

🍃 10 mins bike ride from our accom to rice paddy field & about 10-15 mins car ride to Old Town!

🚿 The AirBnB was really clean and since this is not in the mountain area, we have no water heater issues! Everything was great!

🐶 The host owns 3 cute doggos! They won’t bite! However, if you’re worried, then this might not be for you!!

Overall, I would 10/10 book the accommodation again! I really enjoyed myself there and I love the vibes a lot!! If you’re looking for a more laid-back accoms, I would definitely recommend you Hoi An and plan 1-2 days trip to Da Nang!
